One of the first steps to set your priorities and start the Autoimmune Protocol in a successful way is to restock your pantry following a complete AIP Diet Grocery List that will allow you to be prepared when sugar cravings and will start knocking at the door.
Make sure you read my post on the 6 steps you need to follow to prepare for the AIP and download my AIP FOOD LIST (with all the YES and NO foods) before you start placing orders, and then, when you are ready, here is a complete list of packaged foods and ingredients that will make your life a lot easier when you are ready to fully commit to the Autoimmune Protocol.
And, one more thing, make sure you are aware of the 10 Superfoods that are NOT allowed on the AIP.
Since I know that creating an AIP complaint pantry takes time and it’s not cheap, I marked some of the items below with an asterisk to select the products that are most important to buy (based on how used they are in new AIP recipes you are going to follow).
Once you have familiarized with them, you can go ahead and start playing with other, more esoteric ingredients, like banana flour for example.

As per the snacks, its’ your call and you need to know yourself. Do you have a big sweet tooth? If yes, you’ll need to make sure when the sugar craving comes you are prepared to face it without cheating on non-AIP treats.
Can you already tell that making bone broth every week isn’t your thing? Well then stocking up on some packaged boxes of chicken and beef stock will allow to always guarantee your daily intake of nutrients.
Lastly, make sure to match this AIP online shopping haul with a parallel trip to the farmers market, where you can get all if the AIP compliant vegetables, fruits and meats that will make for the majority of your cooking! To that easily, make sure to print out the AIP Food List complete with all the YES and NO foods you can download from the form below!

Excellent, very informative and helpful site.
Thanks so much Michael! I am so glad you found this useful!!
I’ve been dealing with autoimmune disease for 19 years now. Over the years have been on prescription drugs, tons of supplements, gluten free, dairy free you name it. Now I see an acupuncturist and take Chinese Herbs every so often. Pain levels from Chronic Lyme has subsided but I still have it from time to time plus hypothyroidism. So I came across your site and I so appreciate the time you have put into this and thank you!!! It can be so overwhelming and so frustrating but this helps. Having your hand held and guided really helps.
Thank you SO much for sharing your story Arlene! I really appreciate you being here and I wish you the best of luck on your healing journey!
